Michelin Road 5 Tyre Pair - 120/70-17ZR (58W) and 180/55-17ZR (73W)

The Michelin Road 5 is the evolution of the Pilot Road series. Michelin has built upon the strong foundation of the Pilot Road 4, focussing on improving grip both in wet and dry conditions. The Road 5 boasts improved stopping distances and better handling when cornering. This is achieved through the use of enhanced XST Evo sipe technology - the trapezoidal cut design offers optimum water dispersal. As the tyre wears, the surface area of the sipe increases, meaning that the Road 5 offers the same stopping distance after 3,000 miles as a brand new Pilot Road 4. The Road 5 features the same 2CT compound technology on the front tyre, but also uses 2CT+ for rear tyres. 2CT+ uses two layers of rubber on the shoulder, adding rigidity to improve cornering stability, speed and boosting confidence through the turn. Rigidity is also improved through the use of Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT) which improves sidewall rigidity for more feel and improved cornering feedback. The result is a tyre that outperforms the Pilot Road 4, even when 50% worn, and allows for more confident cornering at speed whilst maintaining the exceptional durability the Pilot Road is known for.
